The lengthy level is the tenth level of the Mayhem difficulty in Lemmings (PS3), and the final level of the game overall.
This level requires the full version of Lemmings to be played. As the tenth level of the Mayhem difficulty, it also requires the player to win at least seven levels from the Mayhem difficulty to be unlocked.
Strategy[]
The Lemmings begin near the left edge of a long floor. Only the leftmost portion of this floor is destructible. To contain the majority of the Lemmings, assign a Digger to any Lemming. Assign a Blocker to the frontmost of the Lemmings who walked onto the indestructible part; this will allow one Lemming to continue. Assign a Basher to the Digger to stop it from reaching the bottom floor, at which most of the Lemmings will otherwise fall to their death.
The sole free Lemming will walk along the entire indestructible floor, eventually reaching a crammed room with a spinning gear trap and a small destructible floor piece. Assign a Digger to the Lemming once it is at the edge of this destructible piece. Once it has dug through half the piece, assign a Builder to the Digger. The Lemming will walk across the remaining floor.
Beyond the edge of the floor, there is a larger area, separated by a gap. Assign the remaining Builder to the Lemming so that it closes the gap. As soon as it reaches the area, the Lemming will pick up a Bomber Collectible. At the end of another thin floor protruding from the left of the area, there is the Exit, but more skills are needed to get the other Lemmings here. Below the thin floor is a second floor containing these skills; assign a Digger to the Lemming to reach the area.
At the bottom floor, the Lemming will pick up six Collectibles - three Builders, a Climber, a Basher, and a Digger. Beyond these, there is a large empty space with no ceiling. The top of the right wall contains three additional Builder Collectibles needed to complete the level; assign the Climber to the Lemming so that it reaches these. Immediately assign a Digger to the Climber, as there is a vacuum trap right beside the skills.
As the Climber digs, it will reach a portion of the area that is guarded by indestructible material at its right side. Assign the Basher to the Climber, so that it reaches this area and turns around. Assign a Floater to the Climber as well, so that it lands safely back onto the bottom floor. Immediately after it lands, assign a Builder to the Climber. Assign another Builder to it each time it runs out of stairs, until there is only one Builder left.
As the path to the Exit has been completed, it is now safe to release the other Lemmings. Assign the Bomber to the Blocker. After this, assign the last Builder to any Lemming facing right who is near the right edge of the pit. The level will be completed with two Floaters and one Digger remaining in the Ability Panel.
