Tailor-made for blockers is the third level of the Fun difficulty in Lemmings.
As one of several introductory levels, its intention is to familiarize the player with the various skills in the game. In this level's case, Blocking.
Strategy[]
Make the first Lemming a Blocker to head the rest left. Before they fall off the leftmost platform, make another Blocker to turn them right. When they fall to the level with the exit, make a third Blocker to turn them left again.
It is impossible to save all of the lemmings this time. (This is the first level for which this is the case.)
Version differences[]
- Atari Lynx
- Was renamed "Made for Blockers".
- Only has 40 Lemmings and 4 must be saved.
- There is one less platform.
- Game Boy and NES
- You need to use a further two Blockers due to a lower maximum fall distance causing Lemmings to splat when falling from the second-to-last platform.
Access codes[]
- Acorn Archimedes / Atari Lynx: WHENYOUSEE (when you see)
Trivia[]
- Other than A Beast of a level, this is the only Fun level to not reappear later in the game.
- However in the ZX Spectrum and Amstrad CPC versions, this map is also used in level 8 of the Mayhem difficulty, DIG FOR VICTORY. In the Nintendo NES and Game Boy ports, the map is also used in the Mayhem Level "A FREE LEMMING IN EVERY PACK".
- This is the first level with 50 Lemmings.
- This is the first level to use the Tim 2 track on most platforms.
