Steel Works is the first level of the Mayhem difficulty in Lemmings.
Strategy[]
Welcome to the very first "Mayhem" level! Looks delicious, doesn't it? I must say, its title fits the level perfectly.
First thing you shall need to do is create a Floater on the very first Lemming that arrives. When it reaches the ground, immediately apply a Builder skill - the tiny elevation it creates under the trapdoor will be just enough for your Lemmings to survive the fall (if you have the CD version, you needn't use a Builder). Apply another Floater skill on a second Lemming, and allow it to fall down to the right. After that, however, use two Blockers on either end of the steel platform your Lemmings are on! You may set release rate to 99 now, if you desire.
When the leader Lemming is in that steel pit, use a Builder skill when it hits the right wall and turns back. Continue building the ramp until it hits the left steel wall under the Blocker, then build ramps to the right, towards the top of the steel structure.
Next obstacle will be the water. Watch out, there is a small niche next to the pool, your Lemming must not fall in it. Use the Builder skill when it is above that small niche. After that, let it fall to the side of the pool, and apply more Builder skills to fix together some ramps. You should have 14 Builder skills left.
The final task will be getting to the exit. Of course the only possible way is to build more ramps in a zig-zag pattern. It's pretty hard to calculate where the ramp should start, so I'd advise to start building it at the center of the second steel block. When you hit the steel wall, start building to the other direction. Your Lemming should make it on the top of the protruding steel block. Once you're there, use a Bomber skill on the right Blocker at the start of the level, and let the Lemmings come. From the top of said protruding steel block, you must use the Builder skills so the ramp will start from the very corner. This way you can make it to the exit without running out of Builders. There are two spare Builders, so you can mess up twice, but not more.

Note that these Access Codes are of little use as this level can be easily accessed from the main menu by switching the difficulty to Mayhem.
