The track "Space Tribe" is based on "The Blue Danube", which was famously used in the film 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Pop Culture References[]
This tribe has many references to science fiction works in its levels.
- In addition to the music, the names of the 7th and 8th levels are references to 2001.
- One of the background objects is the power loader from the movie Aliens.
- The teleporter sound comes from Star Trek.
- One of the traps, the Space War Machine, is the player-controlled mech from DMA Design's other 1993 game Walker.
The Space Tribe entrance features a starry expanse from which the Lemmings drop in from.
The Space Tribe exit is an open air-lock with a spinning light above. The Lemming's tumble out into space upon approaching.
