Lemmings Wiki

Sony Interactive Entertainment (formerly known as Sony Computer Entertainment) is a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation. It owns and manages the Lemmings IP among numerous other major video game franchises, as well as the PlayStation lineup of video game consoles (several of which are host to Lemmings video games).

Sony Computer Entertainment acquired Psygnosis in 1993, making the latter a wholly owned subsidiary of the former. Psygnosis continued to use their own publishing label for Lemmings games up to the release of The Adventures of Lomax. The 2006 Lemmings remake, Lemmings (PS3), and Lemmings Touch were published under Sony Computer Entertainment directly.

The first Lemmings games to be released on one of Sony's platforms were 3D Lemmings, The Adventures of Lomax, and a port of the original Lemmings and Oh No! More Lemmings, which were on the original PlayStation.

Sony Interactive Entertainment currently licenses the Lemmings IP to Exient Publishing Limited, who develops and publishes Lemmings: The Puzzle Adventure.
