SLIPPIN & SLIDING is the seventh level of the Polar Tribe in Lemmings 2: The Tribes.

Gold medal strategy[]

Let your lemmings drop one floor, then have the lead lemming jump onto the ledge and make it a Runner. Jump over the gap and when he turns around, make it an Archer at the edge of the platform and fire its arrow on the closest icicle from the platform he last jumped off of. This will create a safety net for the other lemmings. Make him a Platformer to create a bridge to the exit, then give the other Platformer skill to a lemming held back so they can get onto the ledge and follow the lead lemming.

Game Boy/Game Gear strategy[]

Make the first lemming a Bomber when he's at the edge of the starting platform in order to reduce the fall to the next floor. Repeat this for the next platform to safely reach ground level. One lemming might turn left due to the recoil so have it jump against the overlap to turn him back right. When the first lemming reaches the gap at ground level, make it platform over it to reach the exit. Any lemming that reaches him before the bridge is complete must be tasked with jumping over the gap.

Version differences[]

Game Boy/Game Gear
  • Renamed to "SLIPPIN' & SLIDING".
  • Time limit increased to 6 minutes.
  • The starting platform is too high up for lemmings to survive the fall.
  • There is an overlap allowing lemmings to walk directly onto the ledge without needing a Platformer.

Access code[]

  • Game Boy/Game Gear: KDHYLJAV

Trivia[]

  • Despite this level's title and the five available Skater skills, there are no ice sheets anywhere.
  • In the Game Boy/Game Gear port, this is the tenth and final Polar tribe level.
