Rainbow Island is the twenty-ninth level of the Tricky difficulty in Lemmings.
Strategy[]
This level may seem difficult, as there are three trapdoors, and the save rate is very high. Luckily, the placing of the Spinner hazards shows you the correct way to the exit.
Use a Digger or Basher at the left portion of the highest arch, then another Basher under the highest Spinner hazard. When your Lemmings are between the second and third arches, apply a Digger and then turn him into a Miner halfway down (digging all the way down will cause your Lemmings to splat). After that, all you will need are two more Bashers, and the way to the exit will be open. All Lemmings can be saved if a Digger was used at the beginning, but if a Basher is used, you may need the place a Blocker to the left of the bottom entrance as some Lemmings may turn around and risk falling off the map.
Atari Lynx strategy[]
Have the first Lemming from the top entrance mine through the top arc before the Thumper Trap, then bash through the right hand side of the top arc to reach the exit. Raise the release rate to 99.
Version differences[]
- Atari Lynx
- Only has 40 Lemmings and 39 must be saved.
