Lemmings Wiki

Piggy bank is a game mechanic introduced in version 3.3 of Lemmings: The Puzzle Adventure.

Piggy bank automatically converts duplicate tribe-lemming characters into gold and stores the gold until full. Once a minimum threshold is reached, the gold can then be bought in exchange for real-world currency.

Capacity

The piggy bank initially reaches its full capacity at 500 gold, allowing the 500 gold to be claimed the first time for free. Its capacity is then upgraded and does so every time it is emptied, eventually reaching a final full capacity.

Tier data as of version 7.1:
Attempt Count Maximum Capacity Minimum Purchasable Gold Price (approximated in USD)
1st 500 Gold Gold 500 Gold Gold Free
2nd 6,000 Gold Gold 2,000 Gold Gold $2
3rd 8,250 Gold Gold 5,500 Gold Gold $5
Nth attempts 21,000 Gold Gold 12,000 Gold Gold $10

Conversion Rate

The amount of gold a tribe-lemming character is converted to depends on the current capacity of the piggy bank and on the rarity of the duplicate tribe-lemming character. Generally, the lemming-to-gold conversion rate improves as the gold capacity increases, alleviating the difficulty to later fill the piggy bank at higher capacities.

Regardless of the current conversion rate, duplicate tribe-lemming characters are converted as follows:

  • Uncommon lemmings convert at the current base rate
  • Rare lemmings convert for approximately 2x the base
  • Epic lemmings convert for approximately 4x the base
  • Legendary lemmings convert for approximately 8x the base
