POOR WEE CREATURES! is the twenty-eighth level of the Taxing difficulty in Lemmings.
Strategy[]
Turn the first Lemming that comes out of the entrance into an Athlete. When it is up on the top of that silver bar with the sphere, use a Builder skill to turn it around, then another one to that platform above the trapdoor. Meanwhile many of your Lemmings will be dropped out of the trapdoor and splatter - you can't do anything about this yet.
The Athlete must be turned around by using a Basher and Builder skill again the crystal at the left of the entrance. Wait for your Lemming to reach the center of that cube-shaped object near the trapdoor, then start building the ramp. You must build the ramp long enough to reach that silver bar your Lemming climbed earlier. You must preserve 1 Builder skill for the end of the level, however. If you couldn't, you may kiss this level goodbye now.
When the ramp is ready, your Lemmings will no longer fall down and die. Let them walk back and forth on that ramp for now, wait for the Climber-Floater guy to get to the top of the silver bar with the sphere. He can walk forwards without problems. When he reaches that crystal, use a Basher skill. Allow him to scale the chainlink structure to the exit, but watch out for that bright-coloured thing on the floor - it is an Antimatter Beam Trap! Any Lemming that steps on it will be blasted to subatomic particles in nanoseconds! So you have to use your last Builder skill to create a staircase above this trap. Once your Lemming successfully reached the exit, use a Basher skill on one of the Lemmings in the crowd to smash through the silver bar with the sphere, and start marching towards the end of the level.
Atari Lynx strategy[]
Turn the first Lemming into a Floater and have it build up to the wall on the right once he's atop the sharp point of crystal. Have the Floater build to the left as soon as he turns around and continue until it hits the crystal formation. When he turns back right, continue building until he can both stop the other Lemmings from falling to their death and reach the horizontal platform. Start bashing through the platform but mine down to safely land on the crystal before the ball. Bash through the next crystal and raise the release rate to 99.
ZX Spectrum strategy[]
Turn the first lemming into a Floater just before he hits the ground, then have it build towards the wall to his right. When he turns around, continue building in a zig-zag until your lemmings can survive the fall out of the entrance.
Continue building right to get over the platform, then mine through the steel block. Once your Miner broke through, immediately build to get over the crystal. Your remaining lemmings will be able to walk to the exit.
