Wise Old Lorock (物知りじいさんロロック Monoshiri jīsan Rorokku), often just called Lorock (ロロック Rorokku), is a supporting character in The Adventures of Lomax. Described as an “ancient hermit with a maze-like mind crammed full of useful advice”,[1] he is a kind wizard who serves as an ally and mentor to Lomax on his quest, being the only lemming other than Lomax to have been unaffected by Evil Ed’s magic. He appears frequently in the game’s early levels, initially hiding in his hat until Lomax touches it, where he gives out general gameplay hints and teaches him how to use his special abilities. He also shows up at the end of the game to congratulate him for saving Lemmingland.
