Lemmings-preying iron plate is the twentieth level of the Present difficulty in the Genesis/Mega Drive port of Lemmings.
Strategy[]
With the only 80% of the lemmings required to be saved, you don't need to contain the crowd. You can complete the path to the exit, and a lot fewer than 20 lemmings will die along the way (about 11). If you'd like to contain the crowd so you can save all 100, you can keep them to in the bottom left region between the staircases, and wait for the final lemming out of the hatch to complete the level as the trailblazer. You only have 3 builders, and you will need all 3 of them to cross the gaps throughout the level, so if you do plan on crowd control, you cannot use any builders for either setting up the crowd control, or releasing the lemmings.
The three places where it is necessary build are as follows: first across the gap of the water and the Chain Trap, second over the hidden Pin Trap as you pass the steel blocks on the right side, and the third place to build is over the pixel gap at the end of the middle staircase along the way to the exit.
