Lemmings' Ark is the thirtieth and final level of the Mayhem difficulty in the Genesis/Mega Drive port of Lemmings and in the Super NES port, it's the fifth and final level of SUNSOFT as SUNSOFT SPECIAL 5. In addition, this level is the overall final level of the Super NES port.

Strategy[]

  1. Have the first Lemming Climber up the central structure and Digger as far to the left as possible, just as it reaches the top. Only the leftmost two pixels will work for this; otherwise, the gap between the new corner and the exit platform will be too wide.
  2. Once the Lemming digs down to the middle large brick--the one without the one-way arrows on it--dig down into it 10 pixels (starting from the light-colored pixels at the top of it) and then switch to Basher.
  3. The Lemming will continue excavating all the way through the small gap until it reaches the other side of the central structure. Once it lands on the floor on the other side, make the next new Lemming a Climber.
  4. The two Climbers will crawl all the way up to the top of the field of play on the right, then turn around. Have the first Lemming Builder at the edge of the last step before the fatal fall, and the bridge will seal off the gap, allowing Lemmings to pass over it in both directions. The bridge will be complete before the second Climber reaches the gap.
  5. Have the first Lemming Miner after completing the bridge, and the second Lemming Builder over the hole being dug out by the first.
  6. When the first Lemming reaches the tunnel that it bashed out earlier, it will stop mining and fall free. As this is happening, make a third Lemming a Climber that is hopefully walking to the right.
  7. The floor of the tunnel is lined with one large brick on the left third, then six smaller bricks for the remaining two thirds. As the left-walking Lemming reaches the line between the first and second smaller bricks from the left, have it Miner down towards the herd of Lemmings under the entrance.
  8. Have the second Lemming--the one up on top walking left--Builder just as it reaches the edge. Remember that there is little leeway here, and where the Builder must be used depends on where the Digger was used.
  9. As the third Lemming reaches the bottom of the hole dug out by the first Miner, have it Builder just before its nose reaches the gap in the ceiling. It looks deceptive, but the geometry works out such that there is little risk of getting stuck--the Builder will continue building because its head is unobstructed, and Lemmings will be able to ascend through the wedge-shaped terrain and continue up to the exit.
