Curse of the Pharaohs is the ninth level of the Mayhem difficulty in Lemmings.
Strategy[]
Yet another Deja vu level with an Egyptian theme. Watch the time limit, and the fact you are allowed to lose only ONE Lemming.
Turn the first Lemming into a Blocker near the edge of the pillar - this is the only casualty you are allowed to have. Use three Bashers to get through the obstacles on the left before the staircase.
The first difficult task is to get on top of the pyramid's staircase. To achieve this, allow your Lemmings to fall into the gap in the broken staircase, and employ a Builder near the wall to build a ramp out of this area (you will need to start building near the right corner, and then use another Builder skill towards the left). Your Lemming must reach the top of the broken section of the staircase, as the ramp must be started from there to stretch over the wooden beam. Start using Builder skills until the ramp reaches a point above that wooden beam. You should have six Builder skills left at this point.
Use a Basher skill on the pyramid just below the steel segments. When the tunneling is done, apply a Builder skill towards the left, then another one to the right, and finally, a last Builder to the left. The ramp should reach the wooden beam with the exit door nearby. All that is left is to bomb the Blocker, and when all the other Lemmings reach the exit, the level will be over. You should have about 40 seconds left.
100% solution[]
Youtuber metroimaster88 has demonstrated that it is possible to save 100%.
Turn the first Lemming into a Blocker after he has taken several steps from the entrance but before he gets too close to the right edge of the pillar. Have the second Lemming build over the pillar's knob with one brick being enough to have the Lemmings get over it. Begin bashing through the obstacles, including the bottom of the broken stairs. Build up to the wooden platform cutting through the pyramid starting from where the bottom of the stairs once stood.
Raise the release rate to 99 and have the very last Lemming dig before he gets too close to the Blocker. Once the Digger has shaved off 9 pixels of ground, have him Bash to release the Blocker. The former Blocker should hit the end of the Basher's tunnel and turn around so have him build out of the hole create by the last Lemming. Turn the Basher into a Builder to turn him around, and repeat for the former Blocker should he turn back to the right.
Use a Basher skill on the pyramid just below the steel segments. When the tunneling is done, build in a zigzag to reach the exit.
