Ceci n'est pas une pipe. [sic] is the first level of the Sports Tribe in Lemmings 2: The Tribes.

Gold medal strategy[]

After he has navigated through over the Trampolines and steam, give a Flame Thrower to the first lemming to get through the first wall. As soon as he steps on the right side of the pit he falls into, give him the Bomber skill so that your lemmings can break through the floor as fast a possible and bounce on more trampolines before they become too compact. Three lemmings will die from missing a trampoline, this is inevitable. Use the last two Flame Throwers to clear two more walls so that they can reach the exit.

All saved Solution[]

Allow the first lemming to fall down next to the tennis ball and use the bomber. The first lemming to get under it should use a Flame Thrower to open the way to the pipes below. Pause while the flame is visible and the ball is partway up, and activate the fast forward. If the timing was right, all lemmings should get past it unharmed. Once they have, use the remaining two flame throwers on the pipes to the left. This can be seen in action here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCUU1Q1-OT8

Trivia[]

  • This level's title is French for "This is not a pipe". It is a reference to the 1929 painting The Treachery of Images by Belgian surrealist painter René Magritte.
  • In the Nintendo's Original Gameboy, Sega Game Gear and Sega Master ports, this level is replaced by Mexican Wave.
