The original Lemmings has many levels with the exact same terrain as another one, but a different skillset to traverse it. They also often have different numbers of lemmings, time limits, and rescue requirements. According to Mike Dailly, the more difficult levels were usually created first, with the easier versions coming after the developers realized the game didn't have enough easy levels.
