3 Steps Forward 2 Steps Back is the twenty-fifth level of the Hard difficulty in Lemmings Touch. As part of the fifth column of Hard, it is unlocked after at least five stars are attained from levels in the fourth column.
Strategy[]
The Lemmings spawn on a ramp at the right. To its left, there is a large room with four liftable crates at its ceiling. Lift down the rightmost crate, so that the first Lemming walks onto it and falls to the floor. Lift the crate back up as the second Lemming walks onto it. While holding the crate so that other Lemmings run into its side and turn back, lift the other three crates down. Set the release rate to its maximum setting.
Once the Lemming is on the leftmost crate, lift it up so that the Lemming walks onto a pair of floating candy bars. There is a longer liftable platform behind these bars; lift it down so the Lemming walks onto it, while continuing to hold the rightmost crate in place. At the room's left, there are two switches, with one being held up on a perch. Ensure the liftable platform is level with the perch. Both Lemmings will enter the switches. Press each switch's button to open doors at the top left.
Lift the rightmost crate down so that all other Lemmings fall onto it, while lifting the second-rightmost crate so that they are contained between its wall and the ramp's end. After all Lemmings fall in, move the rightmost crate upward to let them walk onto the second-rightmost crate, then lift the second-leftmost crate so that they walk onto it. Lift down the leftmost crate so that they are contained between its wall and the second-rightmost crate's wall.
Once the crates approach the top floating candy bar, lift the leftmost crate further down so Lemmings walk into it. Once Lemmings begin falling onto the bar, hold the longer platform and the leftmost crate so that they act as walls to contain all Lemmings. When all Lemmings are between these liftables, drag the longer platform further down so they walk onto it. Once all Lemmings are on it, lift the platform further up to allow them to walk past the two doors and reach the Exit behind them.
